China Agricultural Economic Review will provide a unique and insightful approach to documenting and disseminating research into the economics of agriculture, natural resources and the environment, and rural development. Integrating both qualitative and quantitative research, it will provide£º
¡¤ In-depth analysis of Chinese agricultural reform and practice
¡¤ Empirical studies on Chinese agricultural economy, rural society and development
¡¤ Comparative studies of agricultural and rural development experiences in China and other countries that derive implications relevant both for China and other countries, especially, some developing countries
¡¤ Interviews and dialogues to reflect the development of agricultural economics by leading agricultural economists, government policy makers, and other influential personalities from both within China and internationally
Each issue of the Journal will contain three major sections: a research section, a forum section, and a miscellany section. The research section is devoted to publish high quality original academic research articles in the field of agricultural economics and rural development. The editors invite prospective authors to submit both theoretical and empirical manuscripts of high quality for publication.
The forum section publishes articles of debating nature. Such articles may be subdivided into two groups: policy debates and academic debates. The aim of including policy debate articles is to bridge the gap between theories/ hypotheses and policy making. Policy debates should largely focus on policy issues of direct relevance to China¡¯s agricultural and rural development. Academic debates allow researchers to exchange ideas and opinions that facilitate the development of the discipline of agricultural economics. Both invited and contributed articles will be considered for this section.
        The miscellany section will include
        1. interviews with influential personalities such as eminent economists and policy makers
        2. book reviews (reviews of major works published both in China and elsewhere addressing agricultural and rural economic issues of chiefly, but not limited to, China)
        3. announcements of important meetings/conferences and publications.
