Dr. Tun-Hsiang Edward Yu received his bachelor degree in transportation management in Taiwan, acquired a M.S. degree in Economics from Iowa State University, and then obtained his Ph.D. degree in Agricultural Economics from Texas A&M University. After receiving the doctoral degree in 2005, he served as an international oilseed and biodiesel analyst in the Center of Agricultural and Rural Development (CARD) in Iowa State University. He has then become a faculty member in the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics in the University of Tennessee since 2009.
Dr. Yu’s primary research interests include agricultural logistics, integration of bioenergy and agricultural markets, applied trade and agricultural policy analysis, and the nexus of growth, trade and the environment. He has led and co-investigated a number of projects totaled US $1.05 million since 2008. Up to 2012, he has published 20 refereed journal papers (10 indexed in SSCI, 3 indexed in SCI) and two book chapters. He has also received various research awards in national agricultural and transportation conferences in the United States. |
