In the morning of March 5, 2011, another donated lecture from Japan Norinchukin Research Institute was organized and held by the Center for Rural Development Policy and the lecturer was Kobayashi Yoshio, Japan’s former Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Agriculture and now a consultant in Norinchukin Research Institute. At the lecture hall on the forth floor of the main building in East Campus, Kobayashi Yoshio gave an excellent lecture on “Supporting Measures for Japan’s Agricultural Management” for the teachers and students. Professor Xin Xian presided over the lecture meeting and professor and researcher Guo Pei and some teachers and students from the College of Economics and Management attended the meeting.
Kobayashi Yoshio talked about the development progress of Japan’s supporting policy for agricultural management, the changes of policies and measures and the relevant thinking of the government decision makers from four aspects: natural risks of agriculture, market risks under the globalization background, improvements on land and agricultural facilities and developments on farmers’ living. He also actively answered questions from the audience and brought a lot of thinking for the audience to learn from Japan’s agricultural development experience and promote China’s agricultural development.
Kobayashi Yoshio used to be one of the policy-makers and implementers of Japan’s agricultural economic policies and he is both theoretical and practical expert on the field. He has extensive experience in agricultural economic polices and Norinchukin Research Institute he currently works for has been carrying on friendly cooperation with the Center for Rural Development Policy. |
