 
In order to further reform and improve our rural land acquisition policy, Land Acquisition Policy Reform Workshop is held on June 19, 2011, which is organized by CRDP and is sponsored by World Bank. Relative officials and scholars are invited to attend the workshop. Prof. Xin Xian, the deputy director of CRDP, presided over the meeting.Mr. Zhao Yang, the office chief of the Leading Group on Rural Work and the deputy director of CRDP, delivered welcome remark on behalf of CRDP and he briefly introduced the background and goals of this workshop.
This workshop had two sessions and mainly discussed the flowing issues, including the principles of land acquisition policy, the definition of public interest, the indemnifying measures, the procedure of land acquisition, and so on. The participants in-depth analyzed some significant problems and actively gave their policy suggestions.
Mr. Zhao Yang summarized the discussion and he emphasized that land acquisition issues refer to economy, society and politics and we have to put our heads together to improve the land acquisition policy better and better. |
