 
 
On September 11th 2012， the beginning ceremony of 2012/2013 Nochuri donated lectures was held at CRDP. The director of CRDP, Chen Xiwen delivered a speech named “The current situation and problems of agriculture and rural development”. The directors of Nochuri attended the ceremony which was hosted by the vice president of CAU, Guo Da.
Guo Da warmly welcomed Chen Xiwen and all distinguished guest, and greatly appreciated the donated lectures set up by Japan.
In Kotani's opening address, he expressed heartfelt thanks to the CEM and the achievements since the lectures began. He also briefly introduced the background of the lectures and sincerely hoped that the lectures could makeacontributionto the agriculture development of both countries.
Afterwards, Chen Xiwen introduced the current situations and problems of Chinese Agriculture and Rural Development.The whole speech was regarded as rich and informative with data. Finally, Chen Xiwen pointed that three rural problems are very complicated. And he hoped that all the students are responsible and brave enough to make contributions to these problems.
It is the 4th year since the first donated lectures was held in CAU. During the past 4 years, 68 lectures involving land, food, Agricultural Finance，Japan's agricultural policies etc. have been successfully held. Thousands of people benefit a lot because of its combination of advanced theories and practical issues, and the easy-to-understandapproach to dealwithasubjectwithprofundity. |
