Being established at CAU on May 15, 2004, the Center for Rural Development Policy (CRDP) invited Mr. Chen Xiwen, the Deputy Director of Central Leading Group of Finance and Economy, to take the position of Director. The CRDP aims at doing researches on the overall and strategic issues related to agriculture, countryside and farmers (san nong issues), provides theoretical supports and policy recommendations to the rural and agricultural policy makers and governments at all levels, and educated high level talents for rural public administration.
By far, CRDP has recruited 60 top experts and researchers from central government agencies as well as China Agricultural University as its faculty in the field of economics, management, humanities, social development and agricultural technology. In the past four years, CRDP has already made a great achievement on the policy study and academic exchanges. |
