The IEW11 will be held before the ICPP from August 22 to 25, 2013, at the International Congress Center of China Agricultural University (CAU), Jinma Hotel, Beijing. The theme of the conference is “Plant Disease Epidemiology and Food Safety”. Topics will include theory of epidemics, mathematical modeling, disease forecasting, predicting yield loss, and population genetics. The conference will bring established scientists, young researchers, and graduate students together to share state-of-the-art knowledge on plant disease epidemiology. The conference will also serve as a forum to develop an interdisciplinary network to promote international collaboration in botanical epidemiology and crop loss assessment. In particular, we encourage epidemiologists from Asian to attend this conference since sustainable disease management in many Asian countries is of critical importance.
